Well thats the problem.......there are differing opinions on who's right....
Like I said before......Take a look at the vehicles running drilled rotors....supercars, vettes, porsche's, superbikes....and you'll see they ALL have drilled rotors......I'm guessing those manufacturers don't put sub standard parts on the vehicles......
And while your truck isn't a supercar....it does do a fair amount more braking than say a fusion.....because of the weight you'll build up more heat.....
You'll find people on both sides of the debate.....some say cross drilled are better...some say the others are better.......all i can tell you is the personal experience i've had with them is excellent...
1. As I stated to you previously, search on line or call Carbo or Diversified and speak directly to an engineer- they will confirm everything I have stated.
Its interesting that you tell people to do that.....I did just that and look what i found...
"Both drills and slots improve braking consistency, continuously cleaning and refreshing the pad surface. These slots or drilling provide a path to disperse built-up heat and gasses that result from pads acting on the rotors, as well as help to clean and refresh the pad surface"
Oh...and one more thing i'll mention.....I found that getting them right from powerstop was cheaper than through summit or autoanything......just an fyi
