yeah, there is nothing really bad about owning/operating a FFV
btw, the mileage stuff I put up above...that was on 87 octane. the exact same driving with E-85 is MUCH MUCH WORSE. E-85 is a crock of crap.
at 70 mph with E-85 I got 14 mpg highway only. 10 mpg city with E-85
the stuff sucks. even though E-85 is so much cheaper at the pump, do the math.
Once you figure the lower MPG's and the more frequent gas tank fill-ups, the E-85 quickly matches, and sometimes exceeds what you'll pay for 87 octane

I personally barely broke even when running E-85. The MPG difference is so bad, that it just isn't worth it.

It has to be a misprint on that sight. 5.4L flex fuel is the exact same engine except for the fuel system. They have a different and bigger pump, the e-85 fuel sensor, and fuel injectors and seals that can withstand the corrosiveness of ethonol. Otherwise the engines are the same as is the reg. unleaded fuel map strategy in the PCM.

Thanks, Tylus! That is EXACTLY what I expected. The whole ethanol in motor vehicles thing is a gigantic farce perpetrated on us by our government. I am so disgusted with I can't express it in words. Under the current regime, we soon may not be able to express it at all .
