Help! How to reprogram key pad
I have a 2004 f-150 FX4. The person I got the truck from does not have the number for the door key pad. Is there any way to reprogram it.

You can add additional numbers, but you cannot erase the original code. The problem is you need the original key pad number to program additional key pad numbers. You have two options on getting the original key pad number. You can go to the dealership and get them to hook it up to there computer, but this will cost you some green. The cheaper way is to simply find the security module. The security module has the entry code on the label. If you have a 4 door, the module is behind the rear seat on passanger side. If its a two door, i think it is over behind the glove box somewhere, but i'm not sure. I always just use the scan tool. Hope this helps
