*Check signature for vehicle*. I consider myself quite mechanically inclined, but this sound is baffling me. At a certain brake pressure, while moving obviously, the brakes make a noise like a whale's call. Like a sick moan almost. Not a squeak, not a grind. I just replaced my brake pads today. It happened before the change too. They came with all new hardware (spring clips, guides, anti rattle clips, etc.) Drove for a while, no noise! But when I thought I solved the issue, WHALE... If I apply harder pressure to the brakes, the noise stops, it's just at that certain pressure.
I have everything greased with high temp silicone, the slides and bores are clean and freshly greased. All bolts are torqued to specified standards, I mean ALL bolts. I cleaned all the parts with brake parts cleaner.
Truck stops fine, no pulling to either side. It is all perfect except the noise. I can live with it because it's not affecting anything except my ears. Any suggestions would help. I'm sorry for posting ANOTHER brake noise post. I searched first, but all posts were brake grind or squeal.
