Trans Over Temp

1997 F350 4X4 Crew Cab TPSD - E4OD Trans -

Does anyone out there know of an affordable "No BS" aftermarket transmission cooler that while definitely eliminate overheating while towing?

Thanks,

true-cool up front radiator type cooler. There is no such thing as 'eliminate overheating while towing'. The idea is to control it with common sense. I have two coolers up front but I still back off when the trans gets hot.

Put two of the biggest coolers you can fit up front. Connect them in PARALLEL, not in series so you don't increase the fluid pressure drop.

Then add a thermostat since it's going to be over cooled in the winter when you're not towing.

Joe, Its been a couple of years sinse I did mine, I think I just feed one cooler and with the line out feed the other cooler. Then I took the out on the second cooler back to the trans. Is that what you mean or do you recommend running a tee off the hot line into both coolers and another tee off the out lines of the coolers back to the trans?
