18" spare tire
I have a 2005 F-350 with 18" steel wheels with the 8 round holes. I don't have a spare tire. Due to the high cost of the steel rims, is there a cheaper alternative I can use for a spare of the same size?

Here is an 18" OEM take-off steel wheel on eBay for $65.00 plus $33.00 shipping.

Just watch craigslist, and the spare doesn't have to be on an 18" wheel, it doesn't even have to be the same size tire. I have 35" tires and have the stock spare still, if I get a flat i the rear I'll have to swap one from the front and put the spare in the front so I don't mess up my limited-slip differential.
