just got my new raditor put in on my Job 3 truck. Now every minute or two the cooling fan comes on for less than a second and goes off. Just took it to the dealer and he says it checks out fine. Leaving for the Nascar race on Dover and pulling a big fifth wheel. Anyone else have this problem. I was driving to Mich. this last weekend and pulling nothing and it did it all the way up. My friend was behind me with his 6.4 pulling a fifth wheel and his never came on....HELP..thanks
Mine started doing that on our way to Talladega this spring. I finally noticed that my transmission temp gauge would drop to nothing then the fan would kick on, then after a minute or so the gauge would jump back up to normal and the fan would imeadiatly kick off.
Got to the campground and shook loose of my fifth wheel and took it to a ford dealer.
Was the transmission temp sensor, truck showed no codes, they had my truck 3 days trying to figure it out.
800 miles from home, 10 cases of beer, a cell phone, and no truck. I think my friends at home were more happy than me when I got my truck back.
Thanks for the input but transmission is fine...bigger problem now..getting hot and shutting the engine down....going to try a new post and see if I can find some help...
