So will I use a lot more def when I am pulling my fifth wheel camper? It seems like I just filled it up (not exactly sure) and I went on a 17 hr trip with the fifth wheel and the low 500 warning comes up. I usually let it get to about 250 before I add any. Just wanted some thoughts from other 15 users pulling campers

A full DEF tank and a 17 hour drive will not bring it down to 500 miles to empty. Doesn't matter how much weight your pulling.
Did you by chance top it off instead of filling it when it was empty? You said it "seems like I just filled it up (not exactly sure)", so that's got me curious as to when it was last filled, and if you waited until the less than 500 miles to empty warning came up or just filled it before leaving.
I did fill the tank up last time. Waited until it read 200 miles. That was a month or so ago with a 17 hr 5er pull. This morning before work,it read 203 left on the speedo. I started to fill up and it only took 1 jug, until it ran outout of the fill.. Is my gauge in the def tank screwy or what . I guess I should not get excited, Its just I dont want to get stranded in limp mode.
On my 11 the information center will light up with 'cleaning exhaust filter' for a few seconds. Easy enough to miss. You can definitely tell it happened if you park it either during or just after it finishes... truck smells hot.
