I have noticed on my 2001 SCrew that onder hard(WOT) acceleration the transmission will squeak?, screech?, I'm not sure what best describes it. The engine will be warmed up, there is no noticable problems otherwise. Any ideas?
As far as I can tell it noticeably does it from 1-2, and less so from 2-3. But then it is more noisy at that point. It might just be ever shadowed. Again this is only under "Wide Open Throttle"
At WOT the shift is quick enough that the accesories that are driven by the belt can't slow down as fast as the engine slows, causing the belt to slip for a short time.
A new belt *MIGHT* make it go away for a little while. Other than that I don't know what to do about it.
