1988 EEC Question
I have an 88' E-150 4.9 C-6; When you turn the key to start; the high pressure pump runs for at least 20-30 sec. before it shuts off, and then it will start. Is a failing EEC the only thing that can cause this? Any online suppliers?

I would say if will not start during the EEC 20-30 sec. then yes it is the EEC.
If it will start during the 20-30 sec. the it could be a sticking fuel pump relay.
Should be a lot of suppliers on line or you can get at an auto part store.
On line just search for a E8TF-BY2A.
They do not use the 12A650 most of the time to save space as all EEC Computers have the base number of 12A650.
