i have heard some things about being able to modify my injectors by putting a ball bearing in them and this will increase horsepower. anyone know anything about it?
The FPR is the Fuel Pressure Regulator and a BB from a BB gun is used to increase if you have low fuel pressure. The FPR is located on the Driver's side if the fuel filter inside the large Brass Plug.
No offense meant but you might want to just monitor this forum for awhile before you start modding on your truck, The information that you glean from these members will set you on the right path and hopefully keep you out of trouble.
The ball bearing thing is for the regulator. Modifying an injector is a very in depth process and no where in it does it envolve a "ball bearing". Stay with us man and you will learn volumes about these trucks.
And in your defense, there are NO dumb questions here. Only the ones you don't ask. So ask away. This is not a forum that will tell you "DO A SEARCH" This forum is full of people that are chomping at the bit to help each other out. So ask away my friend, we're ready.
I just did this mod today. It took me no more than 20 minutes. Theres a 3/4'' plug on the drivers side of the fuel bowl, just remove that plug and put a towel underneath before incase you drop anything. Once the plug is out there is a spring and another piece behind the spring, not sure what the exact name of it's called. The BB goes between that piece and the spring.
Sorry I can't explain it better, but it really is a simple easy thing to do.
Just check your pressure when your done, I think they say between 65 and 75 is good
