Hello, I have access to 2 80 gal air tanks, i'm thinking of setting them up for air storage. my question is will this set up give me more CFM?
I will be using a 5.5 honda engine and a Emglo compressor head to fill them.
The compressor is what determines the CFM, or cubic feet per minute. The tanks will give you more cubic feet, available at a given moment, but not "per minute."
So if i buy a new compressor head, A bigger V twin type, this will give me more CFM will fill the tanks faster, and air will last longer between cycles of the machine?
It should probably work just fine. With the sand blaster, you might have to pause and wait once in a while, but that should be OK. (When I'm sandblasting I want to pause periodically.)
How do you plan to make it work with the gasoline engine? You'd need to somehow make the unloader of the current compressor work with the new compressor head.
OK, here are the tanks. i have another question, should i stand them up so they can drain water? maybe set up a U in the pipe with a valve to open? understand what i mean?
