New drip....help diagnose

Hello All. I have discovered a new drip. I am going to describe it below and am looking for possible causes and/ or how to fix.

Imagine if you are standing in front of the vehicle looking at the engine. On the left (drivers side) is the resorvior that we have radiator fluid in. If we look below that reservoir we have a tube that comes from the turbo down the passenger side of the motor then has a blue boot that we can see and then continues toward our stomachs where it goes into the radiator area. OK so far?

On the underside of this blue connector boot thing I have an oil drip out of that. Not sure for how long but it has been enough that it drips on to other hoses and has made its way to the front suspension area where you can see it behind the tire. On the underside of that blue boot connector a bead of oil is their so that tells me where it is coming from BUT WHY?

I am not down any oil....on level ground, hot, engine off, I have plenty of oil if not to much on the dipstick so I am not down any and performance is normal. No change in vehicle behavior.

Only changes since last year (besides oil and tire rotations) are my 3 gauges that I had put on over the winter.

What do you all think?

Thanks,
RC

Pictures would say 1,000 words, but are you talking about the intercooler tube and boot leaking oil? If so then I would say you need to do the CCV mod. Maybe its just to early for me, but you lost me at " On the left (drivers side)". If you have some pics it would really speed things up though

Sounds like typical oil build up from the CCV dumping into the intake. My pickup never leaked, but my X did. I would just pull the intercooler tube off and clean it up real good. It probably has a lot of oil sitting it. If you want to eliminate the problem completely you need to do the CCV mod and vent the crankcase to the open air instead of the intake (factory setup).

CCV mod.....I had thought that was done on the right side (drivers side) of the engine. When I take the air cleaner out I take everything off back to the turbo and have cleaned a little bit of oil from that area before which is what I thought the CCV mod took care of.

This dripping though is coming from the front left side at the blue intercooler boot. This comes right out from the radiator area and the blue boot is in plain sight in the front left.

The CCV mod is when you replace the plastic piece in your intake with a 4" metal tube, turn the doghouse 180* and run fuel hose over the master cylinder and down along your frame rail. This way the oily mist won't vent onto your intake, and through your boots anymore.

So the oil buildup from this can be found in between the air cleaner and the turbo on the drivers side and on the left side then?
