Ford has a real high boiling point fluid that is the accepted hi-po fluid. Second to that is Performance Friction's Z-rated fluid by 2-5 degrees. The superduty came with DOT3 and not some fancy silicone based fluid, so a heavy duty dot3 will be fine.

I've looked at a few brake fluid comparisons, and like ReAX said, the Motorcraft stuff is very good. Its also not too expensive.

Brake fluid is one of the few areas I have been able to consolidate everything to one type! Well, except for the motorcycles, anyway.

Castrol GT/LMA.

Very high boiling point (never had it boil in any application, including my "small braked" '99 SD while towing), affordable, and easily available.

As an aside, all brake fluid is "synthetic"; it's just marketing wankery these days to call it that.

I've been using Bosch ESI6-32N, it meets Dot 3, 4 and 5.1 with high boiling point and extended drain intervals $14.61/qt on Amazon

I've used whatever DOT 3/4 fluid is on sale at the time I needed it and have had no issues. It takes about 1.5 quarts to do a full flush including replacing what's in the master cylinder reservoir and then cycling the ABS dump valves and bleeding each corner until clean fluid runs out.

A pressure (not vacuum) bleeder makes this an easy job.
