My aforementioned concerns about the left side seat bolster on the driver bucket seem to be slowly manifesting themself although its a cosmetic issue and does not affect the integrity of the seat. The seat fabric at the bolster area has more or less reshaped itself from getting in and out of the truck repeatedly. There are 2 or 3 folds at the base of the side bolster that are there permanently. I would describe it more as a patina, not unlike that of a leather seat, that just shows that the seat is clearly frequently used.
I've got just south of 50k on the truck already and an inordinate amount of in and out cycles. Most days I'm making 20+ stops visiting sites or property we own so the equivalent of normal use is more likely about 100,000 miles or so.
Upholstery has held up quite well, probably better than OEM would have. The seats actually get more comfortable over time as they tend to conform to the *** of the primary user (me). The hardware and brackets have not worn at all, still as tight and work as well as when installed. Support from side and seat bolsters is still on the money, they keep you planted during cornering maneuvers.
I would not hesitate to purchase the same seat again. In fact, I recently gave my 97 Ranger to an employee who has been loyally at my side for the last 10 years and he just ordered a set for it since he likes the seats in the F250 so much.
I purchased the seats from TRE Performance.com and the service was excellent. I've not needed any follow up but my guess is that they would be helpful if needed.
If you decide to order some, opt for the 2" wider version for an extra 100 bucks or so for the pair. I did and they fit my not so petite frame just fine.
Thank you very much for the thorough information, sounds like I will be getting a pair of them.
Did that center console come in the truck, and if so, is it high enough to rest your arm on?
Phil

The truck came from the factory with the hose down vinyl bench seat. I was able to get the factory console (new take off) on ebay for , I think, 129 bucks. The factory console sits at exactly the right height for an armrest and is deep and wide enough to hold about a weeks worth of groceries, has 2 large cupholders and a 12 volt power point. All of it bolts right up in any 99-10 SD as the floor pans were identical all those years. Couldn't say the 11s are the same for sure, I don't think so.

Performance update.
4+ years and 107k miles and the seats look and function as new, excepting the bolster issue on the drivers seat which hasn't changed. The microsuede is some tough stuff. When clean it still looks like new. Some of the seat face stitching is starting to wear but all of the structural seams are as new. They use some really good foam too, it hasn't changed at all. I would not hesitate to do the same thing again. And I still get a lot of positive comments from other drivers.
Now if I could just replace my seatbelt retractors, they havent fared nearly as well.
