Finally got around to posting pics of the new tailgate. Picked it up off of craigslist for $200, sold my old one for $100, and it cost me $100 to have it Rhino'd. If you do this you'll need the left side hinge (Ford calls it a roller) part #4L3Z-83430B39-AA cost about $7.00 with my discount.
Looks good. It looks like to me that the color is off though. Maybe it's the light of the picture, or maybe it's my crappy computer screen. The tailgate looks a few shades darker than the bedsides.

Actually the tailgate is a little brighter in color. 7yr old paint vs 1-2 yr old paint. Maybe a buff job is in order.

It may be my computer screen. I will look at it again when I go home for lunch and see what it looks like on my home computer. Of course, fluorescent lights can have a funny effect on the way that paint looks. I know that here in our shop after we paint one sometimes something looks funny inside in the lights, but then looks completely normal when you get the car outside. The point of that was that it looks like that picture was taken inside.
