My search doesnt work
Hey if you can tell me how to fix it I will gladly use it. No need to be rude, Isnt this forum for questions. Im just curious if somebody has installed them on there truck. Your reply doesnt really help me at all. If you dont have something helpful dont respond.

So anybody install these on there truck?. Was it difficult to do?. Im really needing some info here as I need to order them ASAP to get it for the truck within a reasonable period off time. A quick response would be helpful. Thanks

I don't know why the search doesn't work. My reply was a friendly ribbing. Did you have a bad day at work? 
But how doesn't it help!? I HAVE 08 tow mirrors (see my signature picture?) They fit and the price varies depending on where you buy them from. Would you like me to help you find places to buy them from?

Only modification is the 08 mirrors have a small locator tab that needs to be removed. I used a small saw blade.
When you install them the mirror L/R control will be backwards. Meaning when you push left, the mirror will go to the right. Not a huge deal and there's even a mod here in the forum (I can find it for you) that can remedy that. It doesn't really bother me much.
If you already have heat and signals all you have to do it match up the wiring and splice everything together, color to color. I cut the plug off my old mirror and spliced that plug onto 08 mirror's harness.

Now that is what I was looking for. Hey Thanks for that. Yeh its been a bad day. Sorry if i was rude. Didnt mean no harm. Thanks again for the info. I just love those new tow mirrors there pretty nice with all there great features.

If you have been here for 5 years you should know about the "Tech Folder". In this "Tech Folder" which is the 3rd thread down in this forum every time you view it, there is a "HOW-TO" on how to install the 08+ style towing mirrors on pre-08 trucks w/ pictures.
As for the search. If you click "advanced search" you can search titles only by subforum only. I was able to find numerous posts w/ the search string of "2008 mirror*". Maybe you searched with the letter "o" in your "o8" like your thread title?
