Rabs abs speed sensor... I replaced the abs sensor in my axle today thinking it would fix my amber rear antilock brake light from staying lit. After starting it up turning it off after a couple minutes and turning it back on as soon as it cranked over the light goes off for about a second then comes back on and stays lit. What else could be triggering it to stay on?
I have collected some posts trying to solve this problem.
Can't get them now, but given a chance when I get back I'll search my subscribed threads for you.
You might need to bleed the RABS valve inside the frame rail beneath the driver.
There is a wire you can ground up above the footwell for a diagnostic self-test. (IIRC it's black and orange)
But I got no flashes, soooo finally gave up and have been staring at that stupid light for years.
Check the wiring at the master cylinder. I had a nagging RABS light that went away when I replaced the master cylinder. Apparently there was just a bad connection at the float switch and taking the wiring on and off made enough contact to complete the circuit. I could never get the RABS light to flash any codes when grounding the black/orange wire either.
