So, I replaced my rag joint. First week or so when cranking the wheel you could hear it rubbing in the cab, seems like it tightened up something in the column. The rubbing sound stopped for a good month or so, but right now...its making an annoying squeal sound when you turn the wheel. Its 100% sure coming from the cab, right where the wheel meets the column it sounds like. But what could be causing this? And could I just try spraying WD-40 or something of the like in between there, or am I gonna hurt anything...
My Grant GT steering wheel does this as it seems to fit a bit too close to the housing on the steering column so that, when I turn the wheel, it squeaks...
I just took a small bit of grease on my fingertip and squished it into the crack between the wheel and the housing and worked the wheel back and forth until the squeak stopped then cleaned up what was smeared on the outside - hasn't squeaked since... Probably not the best way to fix this but it's working for the time being ...

Funny thing, its actually just the stock wheel. Don't know why it started doing what it is, strange. I was thinking about lubing it up with something, may end up trying the grease, though WD-40 or another spray lubricant I have, can't remember the name..but it stopped my door hinges.
