I just replaced my front ones for the third time and my truck has 78,000 miles. I only got 13,000 miles out of the last ones before they warped. I also noticed that the bearings were failing when I pulled them off. I went with Duralast rotors this time. I got a two year warranty and hopefully they will last longer.
My steering wheel was shimmying while breaking at 46,000 miles...I did some research and decided to install Powerslot cryo rotor. They are a little expensive I now have 76,500 miles and I've had no issues what so ever.
I did install Hawk LTS pads with the new rotors. I hated them...they dusted much more then stock and they would start to fade with only one hard stop. I switched to Wagner thermal quite pads with the same power slot rotors. What a difference. I will be buying thermal quites on any future break pad changes.
mine are starting to get warped at 45000 miles on the stock rotors...when i get on the brakes hard you can tell...i'm planing to switch to powerstop rotors when i do them.....but i'll keep the akebono ceramic pads...best pads i've ever had
