so i changed the egr, egr position sensor, tps, air charge sensor, o2 sensor, thermostat, both catalytic converters, exhaust, plugs, wires, rotor, coil, then the clutch went out, got that fixed and the mechanic said i had a misfire but doesnt know why...because i wont let him have my truck any longer.. took a week for a clutch job
there is a pice the screws on to the distrbuter where the plug is it could be that i had one that would act simaler when things got good and warm it would idel fine and spit and spuder under load.
Could be the stator/pickup in the distributor or the TFI module or even the coil. Are there any codes popping up when you scan it? Were all the CM codes reset when you replaced all those sensors?

yeah thats whats happening, but idle fine all the time just starts rough when sitting for a while

yes thank you i think you both may be right, yeah there were a few codes popping up and i got the egr not seating right, ill replace that and hopefully that solves the problem
lol i think you were one of the first people to respond and help me a month or two ago, i thought it was the clutch the whole time, that was part of the probleem but not all of it...
i just did a compression test and there all reading between 120 and 140, is that ok?
so i replaced the ignition contole module and it seems to be running fine but lags allitle on the bottom end, this is the first time owning a stick shift truck with 33" tires on it, are theses trucks just really torquey
yep, if the filter is a little blocked, it doesn't help. did you get the EGR replaced and clear that code? if so, the only thing left would be fuel delivery or something distributor-related, unless you replaced the module and internal parts already. outside of that, even with it being a computer-controlled truck, these things like to have a certain base timing range set or they tend to act up, or so I've seen.
yeah im waiting on the radiator to get here then ill be able to test the fuel system. ill let you know what it is and the ignition control module did cleared alot of the misfiring up so it has to be fuel delivery.i wouldnt doubt that the clutch ,fuel system and ignition system would all go out at the same time since the truck does have 234,ooo miles on it
