zf5 short throw shifter
I'm looking for a short throw shifter for my truck. I know Midwest makes one, but wondering if there are any other places? Anyone know?

I think BD quit making the Ford shorty shifters. Midwest is the only player left in the game AFAIK.

Be sure and let us know how the install goes and your thoughts on the results.
I know I am interested in one and would love to hear from someone with one.

Just don't leave the ashtray open or you will smash you knuckles up when you shift to third. And forget about using the power point.
I know I read about a do it yourself mod for a short throw. Ill look and see if I have it in my favorites.

I have a cb mounted, use my power thing every day for my iPod, and have the ash tray open sometimes for change. Never had any issues.
Thing that I don't like is always grinding into 2nd when up or down shifting, unless the RPMs and less than 800...

that's a 2nd gear syncro buddy or shift forks can do it also. when i got my truck it would grind only when downshifting to 2nd and i replaced the forks and it fixed that problem. now 2 and a half years later my whole tranny makes noise driving down the road. new tranny will be coming soon.. haha
I'm interested in the short throw shifter as well!!!!! take pics and let us know how everything goes

Just FYI.....
Rumor has it that one of FTE's sponsors might be carrying midwests shifter soon. I'm waiting to see if it happens before I place the order.
