Tail light gremlins
Headlamps, parking lights, directionals all work, but no tail lights.

What am I missing?

Are they the "shield" type used on Flaresides, or something else?
Do you still have the original factory headlamp switch?
If so...what is the ID number on it?
1965 F Series trucks used FOUR different headlamp switches.
I hate to be a nagging SOB, but one of these days you are going to understand you do not have a pickup truck!
You have a SPECIAL ORDER MODEL 85 OPEN DRIVE AWAY ICE CREAM TRUCK.
Some parts for this model are not going to be the same as pickups used.
And...because it was a special order...there may not be parts catalog listings for some of these parts.
Wiring diagrams used on pickups or cab & chassis models will not be the same, because Open Drive Aways have no cab, no doors, no in-cab fuel tank, nothing related that a pickup or cab & chassis has.
The dash wiring can and will be different.
. Anyhow, may want to check it out.

As I said before, I can light the tail lights from jumping 12 volts to the brown conductor at the headlamp switch. The problem appears to be no power leaving the switch for this circuit. I do have headlights, parking lights, and directionals front and rear.
Be nice or there'll be no ice cream for you.

Thanks,
Ken
Headlight switch is Motorcraft SW-504 C5TZ-11654-B / Marked: C5TB-11652-B
I also tried another new in box with the same part number.
But .. there are THREE other possibilities! That's why I asked you if you still have the old switch.

OK...you gotta deal. The next time I'm visiting my aunt in Sandwich, I'll swing on by.

Thanks,
Ken
