I have no lighting on the drivers window, mirror, turn signal and headlamp switch. Any idea what Fuse covers those ? No manual or CD here at home.
Any other known issues ? 205k miles.
The bulk of the interior illumination is on the same circuit as the driver's Master Window/Lock switch. If the issue were a fuse, you'd have a lot more than just the driver's door and headlamp switch that didn't work.
I'd be inclined to suspect a broken wire in the accordion boot between the cab and the driver's door. Broken wires in this boot are pretty common issues.
In your post you mention the mirror and turn signal lighting. Are you referring to the puddle lamp in the mirror when you said "mirror"? What are you referring to by "turn signal lighting"?
The mirror switch I was eluding too was the l/r adjuster in the door. I don't think it has lights. The wiper stalk was the other one that I now think that it doesn't have illumination.
Sounds like the headlamp switch was a bulb that burns out after 10 years.
I'll look into the wiring between the door and jab.
Agreed - the mirror switch and turn signal stalk are not illuminated. There is a "grain of rice" bulb in the headlight switch that can burn out. I've read those bulbs can be a real trick to find a source for. Radio Shack used to sell bulbs that could be retrofit, but I'm not sure if the Radio Shack stores that are still open deal in anything other than cell phones now. You could still find something from DigiKey or Mouser, but converting to LED might be a better approach if you have a little MacGyver in you.
