well fellas, i just bought me a 65 f100 factory 4 wheel drive. its built on the same exact chassis as a 65 f250 & 350! i aint never seen 1 like it. somebody wedged a 460 with a c6 auto in it! that thing will RUN! but anyways, anyone ever seen 1 like it? ill try 2 have pics up by the end of the week.
no, thats not me, but youve probably seen my dad cruisin around in his beater 65 f250. it like green, red, black, blue, white, and every color in between lol. you should be seein me in a while lol. still fixin some axle issues.

It may look the same, but looks can be deceiving.
A 1965 F100 4WD is not built on the same exact chassis as an F250 4WD, because the frame, brakes, wheels, suspension, rear axle are not the same.
It's not built on the same chassis as an F350 either, not only because the parts that fit F350's are different than F250's, but because Ford didn't offer an F350 4WD until 1979.
If it's a F100 factory 4WD, the VIN begins with F11.

A 1966 F100 4WD is not built on the same chassis as a 1965 F100 4WD.
1966 F100 4WD's use the same cab as 1965/66 F100/250 2WD's. The Stylesides use the same long or short beds as 1965/66 F100/250 2WD's.
1966 F100 4WD's use the same front fenders as 1961/66 F100/250 2WD's which have a 36" opening radius.
1965 F100/250 4WD's use the 1961/64 cab. The 1961/65 F100/250 4WD's and 1966 F250 4WD Stylesides use the 1957/60 bed.
1965 F100 4WD: The fenders are the same as 1961/64 F100/F250 4WD, 1966 F250 4WD, 1961/66 F350....which have a 45" opening radius.
1966 F100 4WD's use a different steering gearbox than any previous model, it's the same as 1967/72 F100 4WD.

actually, my dad has a 65 f250 and i lined my 65 f100 up with it and we compared em and the frames are EXACTLY the same. the only difference we could tell was front and rear axles. mine came stock with a 9 inch in the back and a dana 44 in the front. his came with a dana 60 in the back and a dana 44 in the front. thats the only differences we can tell. they use the same cabs as you said too. and beds. but the 100 has regular 5 lug wheels while the 250 has 8 lug.

those 66 f100 4x4s are built on a different chassis though. my dad got one that hes workin on restorin and we compared the frame to mine and his trucks and there different not too sure why though. you would think they would be the same.
