Contractor's Box
Hello Everybody,
I've been working on a 1968 Camper Special,390/Auto, factory buckets,PS/PB,etc...
I was wondering if anybody had measurements or pictures of how the passenger side contracter's box (toolbox) mounts.

Welcome to FTE
Are you speaking of the tool box that mounted
into the quarter panel (bed side) on the passenger side just in front of the rear wheel?
Or...are you asking about the
specific Contractors Tool BOXES that mounted
on top of the quarter panels on 1968/69 Contractor's Specials?
There were two of these, one right, one left.

This is the toolbox I was refering to. I always thought it was called a contractor's box.
It's a neat old truck even came with the original warranty cards.

I still have my
original 1965 Warranty card, and...it has my name on it.
To see what the tool box looks like, and what the brackets are, you need to look here:
1964/72 FORD TRUCK PARTS CATALOG / SHEET METAL ILLUSTRATION / PAGE 28.
This parts catalog is available on a CD from hipoparts.com for around 22 bucks (edit: how many loonies that is, I dunno).
NOTE: 1964/66's also came with a tool box...it will
not fit a 1967/72!
btw: You might contact obsolete parts vendor: greensalescompany.com (513-731-3304) in Cincinnati OH, and ask them to email or fax you a copy of this illustration.
