Cup Holder?

What do you guys do for a cup holder? I see LMC has one that goes into the ash tray slot but I can't see shelling out $40 for that.

I have a little plastic console that sits on the hump that holds cold drinks. When I am not using it, I throw it in the tool box or behind the seat.

What I always do ever since I began driving (cup holders weren't a novelty until the '80s in certain cars, even then they sucked):

Between the legs!

I had a saddle blanket seat cover with pockets in the front, served the purpose as cupholders, since then I got a seat out of a '95 F-150 XLT with the cupholder that mounts to the front of the seat.

You can etheir get the kind that sits on the trans. hump, the one that sets in the middle of the bench seat, or get the ones that have a little hanger on it that slides into the window channel, all of those you can buy at Wal-Mart, Autozone, O'Reilies, Advanced Auto, Pep Boys, Napa, Car Quest, Target, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, and anywere else that has an Automotive Section.

I believe they were meant to be utilized while the truck was at rest, during activities aforementioned in your previous reply.

cardboard was the standard in the era, how good does a box have to be to hold gloves
the top of the hump is flat, I just set a cup there, normal on-road driving it's ok

Well, considering mine just discentegrated into a pile of dust the other day, something better than cardboard would have been nice, I mean everything else is built like a tank, why not the glovebox too!!

And not to offend, but the last time a set a large drink from a fastfood place there in my truck under normal driving conditions, I turned a corner and it went all over my floorboard! Thats why I have a Wal-Mart console bolted to my trans hump!!
