I am considering purchasing a new lightning. I was just wondering how the insurance on those is. I am a 23 year old male, so im guessing it is pretty high.
Depends where you live, sometimes even the city/county you live in. Its a rather broad question that probably needs to be addressed with an insurance agent or one of the online insurance sites.

I bought my 99 lightning last year when I was 23 and I pay about $420 every 6 months for full coverage, a $500 deductible, and a perfect driving record. This is through a company call Mutual of Enumclaw over here in the northwest. Not too bad I don't think. This is because it's still classified as a pickup, despite being high performance. Shop around though and I don't think you should have too much trouble finding insurance that is fairly reasonable. By the way, my truck is for sale if you or anybody you know is looking for one in awesome shape with fairly low miles. Email me at joshcadwell(No Email Addresses In Posts!) and I can send you pictures and more details if you like. I'm up here in Washington state. I hate to sell it but need a 4X4 for skiing and driving in the NW winters.
i called my insurance agent and i am 18 years old and he said a 2001 lightning will run we $3,100 a year. I do not have ne points on my lisence and have never gotton a ticket. since ur older it should be a lil bit cheaper but i thought i would give you a ballpark guess.

i just turned 25 and i have AAA full coverage 500 deductable. i paid it for the whole year and it was only 950 i think. AAA still see's the lightning as a f-150 with a V8. if you ask for quotes only give a vin number, no other information should be told to the insurance unless they ask.
I am a 2001 Lightning owner and an insurance agent. I thought I would explain this. A company called ISO rates symbols from 1-28, the higher the more expensive. The Lightning is a mere symbol 14 while my wife has a Maxima which is a 19. The Lighting is incredibly cheap to insure comparingly.
