im installing hide away strobes in my 2001 f250 lariet supercab but im not 100% sure on how to remove the head lights any help would be appreciated also where should i put the power pack i was thinking behind the rear seat back but im not sure if it will fit
On the super duty, not sure if your model is exactly the same; but on 03 F250,you have to remove the bottom light panel first. There are 2 phillips screws holding it in that are kinda hidden between the bumper on each side of the light panel. After you get that off, you can remove the headlight bezel. Hope this helps!
Yeah I think the screws might have a small torx head, but I could be wrong so make sure you have the right tools. I only put the HAW strobes in the turn signals on my truck. Thay way you can't see the actual strobe tube and it doesn't mess up the headlight housing's reflector.
Yes, two small phillips under the turn signals, then that lamp is still held in with a rubber clip so snap the assy out with a slight roll away from the middle. There are two metal clips that are just about flush with the rad support header, These have to come all of the way out. I broke three of mine trying to remove them, so you might want to pick some up before pulling them. Once those clips are out, there is one more snap low near the fender. I was able to pull the lamp out without messing with that clip and then reinstall it on the stud once I had the light out.
I have some pictures in my 05 headlight conversion PDF in the link in my signature if you need more help.
