4.6 L spark plug problem

The plug on the drivers side in the back (8) i can not seem to get the wrench on it. It dose not feel like its getting on the plug and it just spins on me. anyone got any sugestions on how to go about getting it out, I am so sick of running on 7 cylinders and paying my labours in beer to try and remove it.

try tapping the end of the socket with a hammer to break the rock that is probably stuck between the plug and head.and blow it out with shop air

That's my guess too, there is something in the well. You can take a mirror and a light and try and see what is in there. I know when I did my Grand Marquis last time the rubber boot in my spark plug socket came off in that cylinder well and caused me about half an hour of trouble until I realized what happened. I had nearly the same exact thing, felt like it was on and then just spun.

I've been fighting getting the socket boot out of my F150 for three days. Tried every idea thrown at me two or three times. No luck. What did you do?
