I have a 93 f350 7.3 turbo. i replaced the injectors today and it smokes like a SOB and misses. Also when it was cold i heard no rattle except the shaking of the engine from it missing and when it is cold it smokes out the whole street and doesnt quit.
Please help i replaced these cause i bought the truck and it always had a little miss and lacked power.
the smoke is like blue/gray
the injectors are g code
they came from diesel care and performance inc
and i took it for a ride down the highway probably 10 miles or so
and the miss is pretty bad
shakes the whole truck
the injectors came in delphi boxes
Dunno about the Pensacola rebuilt injectors, cause as of lately there have been an increasing number of complaints about their rebuilt IPs, but they do carry NEW injectors at a very reasonable price.
And yes, Diesel Care is a bad bad bad choice, sounds like Mhenneboehle is having the typical issue associated with their injectors.
However, one thing to be considered - gray smoke is also an indicator of retarded timing, what happens is the new injectors are set to pop at pressures that a worn out IP can't keep up with - try advancing the IP a bit and see if it helps, you may just get lucky in that. Not to mention that ULSD junk requires advanced timing to begin with...
