injectors

got to installing my new return line kit and decided since i had it down that far i would go ahead and yank the injectors and take a look at them. all of them are a little corroded jsut above the tips and the 2nd from the front on the drivers side has oil all over it above the tip.and as i held it in my hand i noticed that the oil was bubbling up. somehow there is air escaping from the end of the body above the tip right by the copper washer. IDK what this means but i figure it means i need new injectors. these are the originals afaik and have about 95,000 miles on them

That is exactly what it means.

Did you notice any of the injector tips being wet when you pulled them?

Wet tips point to leaking injectors that are not sealing when they should be closed.

Yes dave actually i think most of them were wet and the caved in area around the tip beneath the copper washer is filled with carbon deposit. the threads on the very rear drivers side injector was actually locked. I had to use a breaker bar and a cheater pipe to remove it.

yeah i would say they were bad the guy said that the spray patterns were pretty good but the pop pressures went as low as 900 and all of them leaked before popping. this seems really wierd because the truck ran good and got 15-18 mpg but i got some more on the way.
