Grill screen

Well I picked up my new truck and all I can say is WOW. I love it. The one thing I noticed is how the radiator is unprotected. I was thinking of putting some sort of screen on the back side of the grill. I dont mean window screen but some sort of screen that would help protect them a little. Has anyone done this? Or for you guys with some miles on them is this a non issue?

If you do a lot of highway driving it might be a good idea.

We have property in northern MI which is when we will be driving the truck the most. I guess I will start looking for something that will work.

I use one of these. It's a winter cover that snaps out and comes with a bug screen for the summer. It has protected my radiator well.

I use the Cabela's Winter/ Summer deal, it's worked fine for two winters now. This sit. is exactly why companies make grille guards, though. Just get one with a mesh insert instead of bars, and it's the best protection your grille could have.
