Ignition Buzzer Q
The ignition buzzer for my 92 buzzes when I open the door even when the key is out. I have to jiggle it to make it stop. The ignition cylinder is new. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I have the same issue with a 96 Taurus. If if is fixable, is it the same in the Taurus.

I *think* the buzzer is just a black box underneath the heater controls in the dash. Most people just disconnect them completely.
I stumbled on it this weekend when I was tracing wiring. The PO unhooked it and then just left it hanging, tied to a piece of wire.

Got the same issue on a 96 T-Bird, its the ring/gear that unlocks the column when you turn the ign. with the key in it, it is partially stripped and is making ground contact to turn the buzzer on when it should not, soon as I fix mine I will know more and share.

ther is a slider contact on the key part of the ign switch. it wears out, and the part is not available as far as I know. if you take the plastic houseing off the steering column, you can see it.mabe number dummy has something
