To get a reference on how the mounts are for a 6.9, I have frame pics from my Cummins conversion from a 460 to the Cummins, using 6.9 plates.

Well, it actually is just a plate over the frame cross, while the 460 mount is a tower type mount after the cross.

As I do this 74 I will make a print. I didn't write any of it down on the 67 as I normally have to make changes later but I must be getting better at it in My old age. LOL
I've got the engine out of the 79 parts truck and a good start at pulling the 6.9 out of the 86 yesterday.
I'm taking Mom out to diner today for Mother's day (just a reminder for all of You it's next weekend!!!) if I get back in time I'll have the 6.9 out to day.
I'm using the C6 so that end is a bolt in. The truck has factory AC so clearing that is the only concern.

This is the part I'll be interested in. I have 3 allison 545s, 2 for Cummins 1 for a Volvo truck.
George D. has one for an IDI.

I never owned the Volvo, only the trans., they are interchangeable.
They are 1:1 drive, no overdrive.

I think your talking about the diesel motor mount plate... the idi had a plate that was bolted to the x-member... the motor mounts bolted to that... u can probably find them at a wrecker....doubt it will bolt to your 77 frame but it might with a bit of work... hope that helps
