Did you ever check your plugs to make sure they were all tight? I think they are supposed to be 11-14 ft/lbs?

Checked the plugs and they were ok, lifted the valve cover and I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. Took it to the dealer and they said wrist pins, after doing some search on this site it had been suggested on other noises. So I got it fixed today, I fixed it with a 03 PSD. No more v10!

If you "fixed it" with a 2003 6.0L PSD, you haven't really "fixed" it...

The 7.3 would be the only Ford motor I'd ever trade my V10 for. I love both motors.

I just went through the same thing on my 2001 V10 F250. The motor shounded terrible but seemed to run fine. The noise would come and go. It sounded like it was coming from the passanger side head or valve cover. Turned out the the AC compresser was coming apart and making the noise. Replaced that and no more noise.
