Ah they are just moldy red trucks... LOL.

We have a couple of departments that have the slime green trucks. What does not make sense to me is the fact that one of the departments that is snow belt central has all white trucks.... HELLO

I have heard that no matter what color the truck is, if you add a blue stripe, it becomes more visible. Don't know if that is true or not.

I could see that happening. In NY until a year or so ago, the police ran only red lights. They can run rear facing blue and red lights and they are a lot more noticable than just running red lights.

I think that if we go new, the back of the truck will have chevron striping

Some of our companies run yellow strobe instead of red or blue on the back of the truck. Supposed to be a safety issue on the road. Impaired drivers are less like to be focusing on the flashing yellows than the reds or blues.

On our rescue we changed out one of the red lenses with a yellow one on the driver's side. Also our newest pumper came that way so it maybe a NFPA regualtion????

yeah it could be in NFPA. I believe tankers are required to carry a 2 1/2 gallon water extinguisher. Go figure. Bunch of pencil pushers.

This statement can cause me to make sooo many comments that we could be here all night ... LOL

Some of the stuff that NFPA comes up with makes sense, but then some of it is soooo stupid and off the wall it makes you wonder what in the heck were they smoking
