We have a gap in one of our soffits. I have seen them crawling in there. I might get some of that expandable foam stuff and shoot some of that in.
hmmm handnt thought of that... good idea though... the facia boards on the side of our house are needing replaced before i can get to painting them... just aint gotten around to them yet... them wood boring bugs and them friggin woodpeckers were at them...
We couldn't even see the one in the tree until the leaves dropped. Then it was a neighbor that pointed it out.
When I see them starting to build I'll hose them down then run like crazy into the house.
lol... hosing doesnt work.. just ticks them off... i tried hosing a wasp down once the lil bugger kept trying to take off cept i was keeping the hose on him till i got close and squashed him... that "cant fly when theyre wings are wet" is a total myth... cuz they can...
We have a woodpecker that goes at a power pole. Haven't seen him yet this spring.
i wish i could shoot them.. but theyre a "protected species"... nothing fatally.. just with a nice pellet gun to scare them off ya know...

I have used the stuff you can buy. It seems to work well.
i would have if id had it... we use to to kill em when theyre in the fence and stuff... but at the time i was hosing something down and the bugger kept buzzing and dive bombing me.. so i got a lucky shot on him with the hose knocking him to the ground...

I have hosed them in the air. Then lost sight of them and I'm standing there turning around in circles hoping I can get it. Anyone seeing me probably thinks I'm loopy.
