I know the wrong section, but figured you guys would know...
How do I mount my Roll Around tool box (craftsman) in my trailer so that it does not tip over and spill all over? I still want it portable so I can roll it out in the pits.
I can strap it in where it will pull it away from the wall, but no way to strap it to the wall, any ideas? Not against drilling new holes in the trailer as long as it looks good...
This is how I want it to be, but secure (this setup tossed the tools everywhere and nothing was secure after that... the chest fell over)
I would just use the E track like you have on the floor. They sell all kinds of hooks & loops for it. A lot of the NASCAR haulers do it that way. Do you race SCCA ?
When I was spending more time in my truck servicing heavy equipment in the field than working in the shop I riveted my tool box right to the side wall in the back of my truck. I had a big covered tool box bed on it and it just didn't have enough room in the side cabinets. When winter came and I was spending a lot of time in the shop again I just parked my truck inside right next to whatever tractor I was working on.
I shose big rivets because it made it nearly impossible to steal without power tools.
I will do the e track. I bought the trailer used, so I did not know what that stuff was... I will bolt it to the wall and there we go, I have two d rings on the wall and then two on the floor.
And this is for a drag car. Scca is too expensive. I can't afford any roundy round racing or turning... Mine is straight line.
Matt, Ravens trailer sales in Commerce City of 72nd ave near rainbe bread sells the e track rails in 4' lengths for like $15 if I remember right thats where we bought ours when we set up our racing trailer. We ran id down the length of all the walls and tied evything we could ever need into the trailer that way.

Sorry, Missed your sig with the Mustang. Your not kidding about the SCCA. I don't race but help a buddy of mine who runs an 70's Formula Ford . It's a lot of fun but you can drop some coin in a season.
