I traded my 93 F250 460 Auto Extended Cab 4x4 Long bed for a 1997 F250 regular cab long bed 4x4 PowerStroke Diesel!!!
The 460 has 187K miles on it and was getting worn out. So i replyed on a add on craigslist for a guy wanting to trade. Turns out he did. Straight exchange. 211K on the powerstroke. Going to pull a trailer much better..
I got to keep my brand new 315/75/16 A/T tires but he did get away with the nice *** bumper on the 93.
It needs new glow plugs, but that is not a problem for me.. I can fix that.
I am going to have to get used to the color white and a regular cab, but I think I made a great trade...
1993 F250
1997 F250 Long Bed Extended Cab 7.3 Turbo Diesel 5 Speed(better pictures on Sunday)
I will probably have to get a 2 inch body lift or a 4 inch suspension lift to keep these tires. at full lock I do get rubbing on the cab. The bumper also had to be taken off...
You gotta have the long bed, you can't fit anything in a short bed, everything you try to put in there is a little too long. I like the look of the regular cab as well, most people have super cabs or crews any more. It would be nice to have that extra room though....
P.S. Don't get the body lift, save your money and get the suspension lift. Body lifts always look stupid.
u espically have no room when you put a tool box in the box, i hate my short box when it comes to hauling stuff, but thats why i have a 89 long box. i think it was a heck of a deal
