Swamp's

Well I had heard mixed opinions of this company but decided to try them anyways. I had two sets of injector cores, mine I was running and a spare. Both AA's. They said if I sent them both my AA cores they would send me a brand new set of Stage 1's because they were low on AA's and had an abundance of AD's.

Well no word from them so I gave David a call, his words were, "we cant use your first set, all 8 plunger and barrels and demolished, we will keep these and your other set plus $500 and we can make a deal."

I said no, send them back to me. Got them back and deciced to tear into them to see what "demolished" plunger and barrels looked like. Guess what I found, they kept my AA p&b's and put AD p&b's in them. Did they not think I was going to take them apart? They basically just turned a set of their AD's that they had into AA's.

I called David and he said "Oh, they were completely torn down so instead of rebuilding them we put your selonoids on another set of cores we had laying around. If you want yours back you can pay us to put them back together."

WTF?!?! They are a shady company that I do not recommend to anyone.

Jim, if you read this, when people send you cores and you get into them and find bad parts, do you send them different cores back or their cores? And if they just want them back do you charge them to reassemble them?

That sucks to hear. Swamps has a pretty good reputation in the high HP club.

A friend of mine here in florida recomended me to them. He has a 600 rwhp powerstroke. His injectors and gen3 are from swamps. He's pissed now though. O well, live and learn. They won't get another penny of mine.

I've read complaints along the same lines about them. So no Swamps for me.

Oh....
My....
God........

???

I was getting ready to reply something like "Great people, you can't go wrong with them, yadda yadda and so forth."

This sounds like Pensacola Diesel, not Swamp's Diesel. I worked with a customer that Pensacola did the exact same thing to, twice! I felt bad for him and sold him a couple cores for my core price just to get him squared away.

What you did is EXACTLY why a customer of mine would get his very own cores back. I would never think of charging a customer to put his set back together, either. I have done thousands and thousand of injectors and it literally takes me maybe 30 minutes to tear a set down and inspect, and put back together. Sure, there's a possibilty I might not be compensated for that 30 min, but I could also get a build from it, too.
I have it in my head, being a DIY person myself, and a lot of guys have the know-how to inspect their own injectors, that if a customer sends me a set, there's always a chance that he already knows what's good or bad in them. I will in no way shape or form ruin my name and reputation by trying to screw someone over like that. I have absolutely nothing to gain and everything to loose by doing that.

Other than saying that, I am speachless that Swamp's actually would do that...

Well Jim unfortunately everyone doesn't think like you and I. They can't stay in business to long these days with the complaints I've seen about them. News travels to fast. I'd say about a dozen or so complaints out on the other forums of late about Swamps.

WOW is all I can say. I thought Swamps had their act together. It seems they REALLY needed those AA P+B's!

I've said it a half of dozen times on here. He sold me a electric fuel pump set-up but once he had my money, nothing!! I waited a month, voice mail box full, no response to emails, nothing. Zero customer service after I finally got the kit. Then after the install the wiring was wrong and it would quit on me all the time. Once I was in the middle of the freeway (three lane) with a cop behind me with his lights on trying to give me protection. I had to lay under the truck and hot wire the pump. When I finally got ahold of him (mister big shot himself) I went up one side of him and down the other. He is a total AH!!!!!!!!!!!! If I'm ever in his neiborhood I'm going to stop in to see him. That was two years ago and I'm still pissed off about it.

The guys at Swamp's are doing some great things for the High Horsepower Power Strokes, for sure. So if they don't want to waste time doing injectors, they shouldn't...
And I know that new Single Shot P&B's are scarce and on back-order now. But that's no excuse, you just can't treat people like that and not expect word to go around.
???

Guys, I'm glad you all agree with me. I talked to david and told him to send me back MY p&b's. And I would even pay the return shipping. He said okay but that was monday and they still haven't charged me for the shipping. I know he's going to find 8 that are in horrible condition and send them. I have documented all conversations and I have pics unwrapping their wrapping and tearing them down. Along w/ the AA selonoids and AD p&b's. And 4 still wrapped in their wrapping for proof.
