Kevin~

I just saw this thread.

Against my words of advice, you purchased a used set of injectors from George E. When you purchased that set from George, you, *I* nor George had anyway of knowing what the internal parts of those injectors looked like.

After you had sent them in, we invested about 3-4 hours in the teardown and measuring of that particular set of injectors...before we even crack open the nozzle body to inspect the plunger and barrels.

Once we did complete the teardown of that set of injectors, all 8 plunger and barrels were toast. Not usable.

After I called you, informing you that there was no way that those injectors were going to flow properly, without replacing all 8 plunger and barrels, you said that George would swap them out with you.

Rather than spend MORE time on that particular set of injectors, to assemble them, we grabbed another set of injector cores, that we had ZERO time invested in, and shipped that set back to you.

I am offended that you think that we were out to pull one over on you.

That is not the case at all.

We have (literally) hundreds, if not thousands of core injectors in our shop. Some still in boxes awaiting teardown & measuring, others in various stages of machining, cleaning, assembly and flow testing.

It was not worth my time to have one of the guys reassemble that set you sent in, so another set was returned to you.

I did send out your 8 plunger and barrel cores, either Friday or Monday, but you may have already received them by now. I guess you'll be returning the split shot P&B's at your earliest convenience, thanks.

If you, or DZLJim need any more P&B cores, please...please please let me know, and I will be glad to ship you some, just pay shipping...we have hundreds of pounds of them.

take care~

Dave Armstrong

It won't matter as long as I receive my originals back. But its wed evening and they haven't shown up yet.

I just don't take being screwed over politely. I guess from what you say that was not your intent, its just how I felt.

It only took three pages of this thread to get his attention. It took a month of begging, calling and emailing to get the AH on the phone to talk to me about my problem. He sells a product with faultly wiring and after he discovers the problem he doesn't have the ***** to tell his customers who have already bought he product about the 'new and improved' method of wiring. He is a jerk in my book and always will be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dave Armstrong, I'm Glenn B, the customer who bought the BS electric fuel system from you. I'm not hiding in a bush!!!

Easy Glenn.....

I understand you're mad and want resolution, but you must avoid getting personal like that.

If you want to use this forum to discuss issues you've had with a company, good or bad, you are welcome to do so....but FTE cannot, and will not tolerate personal attacks. Try to keep it to the facts without the name calling please.

Glenn, you bought an electric fuel system for $675 back in 2006.

While we are constantly changing and refining nearly all of our products, one thing that really has NOT changed on our electric fuel system is the wiring.

There are only so many ways that you can hook up a relay to trigger the electric fuel pump to come on....and I expect that there may not be any difference between our systems wiring, nor any other companies wiring.

If there was an issue with it, what do you expect after nearly 3 years?

feel free to call if you have any issues, which you feel are related directly to the wiring of that fuel system.

take care~

Dave

Dave, You don't understand what happened and I'm glad I finally got your attention! It was only two months after I bought the system in 2006 that I had problems. By then you had figured out another, better way to wire it but failed to contact me, a customer who purchased the product. To add insult to injury it took almost a month to contact YOU to ask about another way to wire it up. It was your lack of customer service that upset me. By the time I finally got ahold of you, I had experienced many 'on the side of the road' failures. One time I was on the freeway, in the middle lane, laying under the truck, hot wireing the pump as cars on both sides went by at 80mph. Thank goodness a cop was behind me with his flashers on to protect me. Put yourself in my shoes for a minute, I'm not the greatest wrencher so when I buy a product I expect some customer service. I got nothing from you and the only reason your on here now is to cover your butt. I'll never buy from you again, period!!

Glenn~

I understand your frustration, especially regarding the reliability of modified vehicles. You probably had none of these problems when your truck was stock making ~165rwhp.

We are constantly improving our products, refining our machining techniques, developing new products, etc...are you insinuating that every time we improve upon an existing product, that I call each and every customer to solicit another "upgrade" to their existing product?

I guess that you've only ever bought one vehicle (computer, laptop, stereo system, hamburger) in your life, and every 9 months when the manufacturer introduces a new model, that they upgrade you for free.

That must be very nice for you.

I really have no idea as to what exactly was wrong with the wiring on your fuel system. The only change that we have made to the wiring of our OBS fuel systems is changing the relay trigger wire from the alternator to pin#24 on the 42pin engine wiring harness.

If you need updated instructions, shoot me an email and I'll reply with our latest instructions.

take care~

Dave

Got the P&B's today. I don't know what a "demolished" P&B looks like but these look fine to me They have no score marks and all fit nice and snug in the barrels. Except for the fact that they have no oil on them and the barrels have some slight surface rust on the outside. They look just as good as the ones that I just built into 180's for my truck. The ones I was and still am currently running.

Anyone know how to measure them to see if I could just build these into useable spares?

You'll need an air gauge to measure the fitment between the plunger and barrel.

It's on the order of a few hundred thousandths of an inch. That's 0.00001"

but you'll probably be able to determine that they are fine with a tape measure and visual inspection.

take care~

Bad day Dave?

I'm sure that last comment did wonders for customer relations.
