alarm sensitivity

alarm sensitivity

Hi, I have a 2003 expy and the alarm just started acting real sensitive, like if a passing car or loud exhaust vehicle drives by it goes off. This is really annoying, is there any way to adjust the sensitivity on this thing, because the truck never acted this way before and I don't know what could have changed for this to start happening. It has an autostart and what looks to be an aftermarket alarm but its the one from ford.

Any recent trauma?
Did you try talking to it?
How about therapy?

mines got the same one and i just turned it all the way up , easiest way is to take the bottom pannel off by ware ur feet goes ( under the stearing wheel ) mines got 2 boxes ones small and its got a phillips head plastic screw that says sensitivity , turn it to ware you need it , hope this helps
