My '96 F-250 started shifting hard now and then a couple of months ago. At that time it started to stall for no reason. It only happened about 3-5 times a week in the start. I changed trans oil and filter without any difference. Last week the truck sometimes would rev really high to before it shifted from 1. to 2. gear. The same day it quit 5 times at low speed but always started again.
I went to pull codes and go P 0107. Map sensor, right?
Can a bad map lead to strang shifts?
Is it common for the map's to go bad?
The current situation is that the truck runs and shifts ok, the next time I accelerate it can shift hard or not want to shift to 2. until 3k or getting off the pedal. It will quit several times almostevery time I drive it and no and then I can feel a wery short moment of lack of power when accelerating.
Any input will be appreciated! Thanks
