10k Mod

Would this be a good way to do this Mod?

Diesel Movies - I install a 10k resistor in the ICP sensor of a 2001 F250 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel.

I prefered inserting the leads through the purple insulation on the back of the connector. That way it's not in direct plug itself. Just my opinion.

I was confused with this mod? There seems to be at least two way to do it.
When I did mine I used the c00nhunter way (https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/704123-10k-mod.html)

I did the 10k mod today and definitely notice more bottom end. Couldn't find anything b/w 10 and 22 so tried 22k and truck didn't like it. Started cutting out not long after I got after it. Do these resistors go out? Do you guys carry a spare?

The resistor shouldn't go out... but the way I have it set up is one male end and one female end so if something should happen to it I can just plug the stock wire back together.

To get the 14.7k and 15.6k and 20k you just use two resistors inline with each other.

I found that the 14.7k and 20k worked best on mine, but it just depends on the truck.

That is how I wired mine too so I don't know why I asked about carrying a spare. I didn't know about putting them in line to get the others. I might try one of them sometime but for now I was happy with the 10k. Thanks
