why a chevy? it would cost more to adapt the chevy than it would to fix the ford. and in my personal opinion, if you want a chevy, start out with one. expect to get flamed!

Uuuhhh no. Instead of spending the extra money to modify motor mounts, shift linkage and wiring. Why not save time and money by just dropping in another 351?

You could make it work, if you throw enough money at it. It wouldn't be very cost effective to put a Chevy in it. Sell the Chevy and use the money to build the 351 the way YOU want it.

Yes you can do it. As a matter of fact I thought about trying to find a way to fab up the throttle body system to get it to work on a ford at one point in time. What you would have to do is change the motor mounts (they would have to be custom) get a new trans, your going to have to make your own trans cross member mount. Your going to have to change your drive shaft. Its gonna be a lot of work. I agree with everyone else about getting a new 351 but its your truck and its up to you. However you need to realize its gonna be alot of work and will definately hurt the resale value of your truck if you ever go to sell it.

ford parts + chevy vehicle = BAD
chevy parts + ford vehicle = REALLY BAD

dont even start with it, really really really not cost efficient! but the 350s are worth quite alot to chevy owners, so sell it and build the 351!

Famous last words of a Redneck...'Hey you all...watch this!!!' My vote is no. Conversions are a great idea, right up until you realize they have cost you a manure and a half load of money and don't work, then you realize the old adage that personally, a fool and his money have just been parted. Everyone has said sell your 350 and invest that $$$ into a 351w engine or get a chevy for your 350 and stay off this site. Not to be rude, but there is a place in Texas called Dumas...go there for conversation inquiries.
