Cel!

I pulled the boat Saturday Aprox. 130 miles round trip no problems. I started it today and immediately got a CEL and the truck is running rough (skipping).

I haven't had the code read but after a quick search I suspected the UVC and statred checking things out.

Driver's side second Injector from the front reads open.

Would some of the GURUs Like to take a guess?

I'm thinking pobably a bad injector. It seems unlikely that that only one would read open if the plug was loose. Either way I guess i will have to pull the cover.

If the plug is loose / not connected,it will absolutely read open.

I would think if it is a connector it would read the front most and or the rear most as faulty. If #4 injector is open. I would think #2 would also be open if it is the connector. But you never know. Would be nice to pull cover and push it back in.

Might want to do the 50c mod as well. At least it is the driver side.I can have that cover off in 10 minutes. I hate the passenger side.

Let us know how you make out or what you see..

The connectors come out at an angle so it makes sense that #1 is out.
I recommend that you pull both VCs, you'll find the other side is coming loose too.
Retorque the rockers, injectors, do the 50¢ mod and that should do it.

OK thanks for the reply. I think that confirms what I was thinking. I needed to move the boat out of the car port .I will let it cool off and check it out. It may be tomorrow I have exhausted my enthusiasm today.I will break out the old stand by BroncoII.

You guys come through again. The Problem was exactly as you descibed. Now I just need to get it back togather .I have a friend bringing The torqe wrenches so that I can check the rocker arms & Injectors.
The pasenger side looks like it will be much more difficult But I know I need to Take it on Before I get the Camper out this season.
The truck is 10 years old I guess I should Expect a few problems along the way!

Thanks Again.

If you follow the split line around on your heater box cover you will find that the side facing the valve cover comes off pretty easily. Gives you a lot more room to work on the valve train on that side.
