I have retrieved what I consider to be bullchit codes...possibly, anyways I have a Diablo chip in the truck (came with it) no literature cept the tube and warranty card with "tow" hand written on the side of the tube. My plan is to pull this chip and run the truck for a few days to see how it runs and scan it for these codes again then. Then I will be upgrading to the DP tuner ya'll rave about. So anyways my question is this, do I unhook the batteries before pullin the Diablo or after........and then lettin it sit 10-15 minutes before reconnecting the batteries. Just guessin since I dont have any literature, just dont wanna burn up the computer Thanks again
It's a Diablosport, says NVK4 TOW2-4Bank assume the last refers to the 4" Banks turbo back it has in it this was all apparently installed in April 2002. Thanks Riff
I only have the chip, no programmer or tuner. Just figured disconnecting Batts was only way to get the computer back to stock. It didn't trip the ces light but it was runnin like cwap last weekend, so I had a friend put it on his scanner and it came up with P1211, P1249, P1670 and P0476.
The waste gate actuatore clip is still in place and the truck has been running fine since last weekend. I plan to do the fuel pickup mod soon hopefully that wil account for the lower fuel presure.
So then, just pull the PCM then the chip and reinstall PCM and it will revert to stock w/o disconnecting batteries, a mechanic said to disconnect batteries and leave disconnected for 10-15 minutes
Couldn't get the pcm out for some reason and didn't wanna break anything, so fortunately it was easy enough to pull the Diablo tape and then just pluck the chip out. Forget who said it, but man this thing is a slug even without just the Diablo tow tune.
