My New Project

Just got a 75 F-250 for $800 and I definitely got my moneys worth

Here are a few photos and a question.

And now the question. Where do I get a cover for for this? I can't seem to find anyone online who sells replacements. Is there a part number that I need so I can order one?

It has a 390 in it but I am not sure of the transmission. It is 4x4 but this is only my second used car. My first was a 1979 corvette when I was 16 years old. So I don't know alot about older vehilcels.

It is in the bed of the truck. The guy who owned it before took it out for some reason. He said he just switch into 4x4 by crawling under the truck because he never got around to putting the shifter back in. I am not entirely sure I believe the story but the guy was a little strange so I didn"t not believe him either lol. It will be re-installed this week. I plan on getting as much done as I can to make this truck mechanically sound and then I will worry about cosmetics.

Could be something wrong with the linkage for the transfer case(especially if np203) being the reason why he took the lever off. I guess you will find out soon.

Most likely the lever is maladjusted. They do need to be lubed as preventive maintenance. But you'll find out soon enough.

well I may have fibbed about doing the mechanical first. I got a dent free hood for $40 a dent free door for $45 and a transmission dust cover for 20. Is there an easy way to take the trim off of these doors without messing them up?
I think the door came off of a different model. I think a camper special. The mirror mounts are different and it has the trim in the dent and at the bottom of the door.

I always end up doing the body/interior first...I hate it when things aren't clean!

Never had to take them off myself. I hear a key-chain style bottle opener works well.

I want to flush out the transmission and I see the drain plug but I do not see where to fill it from. I have a manual in the mail but have not gotten it yet and a search did not turn up anything. although I was not sure of the exact term to search for. any help is appreciated.
