Lol the latex I can understand. I used to know a jet mechanic back in the Navy who had nerve damage in his hand from too many chemicals soaking in. Whenever the nerves fry his hand ***** up into a fist for a few days and he is out of commision untill it decides to let go. Some of that stuff is just toxic. if you are working in a shop they might consider it a liability nowadays. Its worth 30 cents of latex when you look at it like that, of course that bieng said I still don't do it lol but that's a personal decision.

touche, i can understand that especially when using chemicals but with "normal mechanic stuff"...whatever, who cares it really doesnt even matter.
Here is an update. I painted the front fenders and got my grill situation figured out. I have not put the new hood on yet because I can not find anyone to help. I have front bumper brackets on order from Don Sanderson Ford that should be here any day now so I can mount the bumper. After going through 2 sets of wheels I found some that actually fit the bolt pattern but they hit te tie rods in the front so I had to buy 2 inch spacers for the fronts. I have some ordered for the rear too because I have a problem with symetry. I will have to get some fender flares though. I am running military surplus 37's on it and they rub a little on tight turns but they are generally not too bad.
can anyone tell me if there is a way to adjust the part of the hood nearest the cab? The whole hood looks slanted forward and it bugs me. The last hood did that too. it doesn't look too bad in the pictures but it does when you stand in front of it.
You need to adjust the hinges. You should be able to straighten that out and be able to move it away from the cowl a bit. Have some patience, it is a major pain to get it right.
You can adjust the up and down height of the front with the hood latch.
Thanks for the compliments. I will see what I can do about adjusting I just didn't see an area where I could lower the rear by adjusting it. Maybe I just need to look closer. I am going to do a power steering conversion on it in a week or so and I almost have my new door painted and ready to put on.
Mine was doing that and had to go look to remember what I did to fix it. :)
Remembered that it seem backwards from what you'd think, so had to look. :)
I loosened the base of the hinge system and tilted it "back".
-front up and the rear down-
Try it and tell us if it works for you or not. :)
Worked for me is all I know about it. :/
